Update to the review I posted recently for the above item.
Wrote to Gear Outlet explaining the issue and received reply stating that as it was beyond the 30 days since purchase they wouldn’t be replacing the item. However they could offer me 20% discount on future purchases.
Slightly stunned that they think a pair of boots falling apart after 2 months is acceptable and that I would even DREAM of buying from them again (even with 20% discount).
Worst customer service EVER but can’t give it less than 1 star
Bought these around 6 weeks ago. Absolutely loved the feel on my feet. Boots look good and feel great to wear (tongue would benefit with extra cm or 2) but overall very comfortable. Soft sole which I’m not used to in boots but again, very comfortable to walk in although not tried on rough ground yet.
However, in last 2 weeks the right heel developed a spongy feel to it and a squeak. The heel appears to have lost structure causing the squeak and deterioration of the insole. I walk around 12 miles a week and on pavement which I don’t consider excessive in any way.
Disappointed that a boot which I otherwise love, is falling apart.
